Okay, bit of news for you guys…
Yes, every post I seem to make seems to be about how we’re taking so damn long to finish this video, but that doesn’t make it less true, and while I promised it last year, we’re pretty sure that we can get the video to you for this christmas. Put it on your list guys.
In other news, Ben Sullivan, local ZSK shredder, is gonna get a few tricks in the upcoming QS video. Stay put for more info soon.
There’s been a long, long hiatus in QS land, but filming remains constant and we are ever hopeful that the video will be with you this year. I recently fell ill and spent a few nights in hospital (pneumonia, on the hottest day of the year. Go figure.), and under doctors orders, I’m out until early July in terms of both skating and filming. But don’t fret! The rest of the crew’s going to step up to the plate and get some footage down over the next month until I’m back in action.
We’re shifting focus away from ZSK at the moment and concentrating more on getting this damn, drawn out video out. Everybody’s getting dangerously close to finishing their parts, and a couple guys already have finished. It’s coming people.
I’ll be keeping you posted over June on the state of the team, and where we’re going.
Much love,
Wilson.
Yes, we’re taking our time, no need to remind us.
Been getting a few new clips over the past couple of weeks, but at the moment my personal focus is getting this new Zulu vid out of the way so we can concentrate on our main project. Not to mention the fact that spring seems to be well underway in jolly ol’ England, which hopefully means better weather and more chances to film.
Once QLM is done, I’ll post more messaround clips on the blog, trying to ease the pain, ya know? Anyway, it’s pretty sunny today, so if you’re a British skater, you should be out there gettin’ rad rather than reading this average blog.
Goin’ Skatin’,
Wilson.
Well, it’s been a difficult few months over here in QS land. The weather has been absolutely terrible since the new year rolled around, along with some other problems, are meaning that this video is taking much longer than planned. So I’ll take this opportunity to say that there is no current deadline. This video will be done when it’s done, and I’ll promise that it’ll be worth the wait.
In slightly less serious news, the new Zulu video is in production, and should be with you in a couple of months. A lot of this one is old footage and/or non skating footy, so I guess it’s more accessable than the previous efforts. Oh, and did I mention that it’s half an hour long? Yeah. Full length, bitch.
I’ll be updating this blog a lot more often, since I certainly haven’t been skating in a good while, but for more frequent updates and to leave me comments on anything skate related, go ahead and become a fan of Quote Skateboards on Facebook.
Peace out bitches,
Wilson.
Denton’s Daily Madness
Well, a decision has been made to push the video back until early 2010, and by early I mean March at the latest. We just need more time, and especially since we got two new guys coming on board (more about this at a later date), there’s just no way this video could be finished for Friday. Sorry about that.
On a lighter note however, there’s a new trailer out that I thought you might enjoy seeing.
Peace out for now,
Charlie Wilson.
As you may have already guessed, the quoteskateboards website has undergone a few changes, and as a result, as has this blog. Hopefully this will mean I post more, but only time will tell.
In terms of REAL news, the Welcome to England deadline is closing in fast, and I’ll say this much: Having the video out by Christmas will be a possibility.
The reason I’m saying a possibility and not a certainty, is because the video as it stands isn’t even finished, and even if everybody we want to have a full section gets one, the video will still only be roughly twenty minutes long. Which in my opinion, isn’t really good enough.
We’ll be deciding in the coming weeks whether or not actually having a good video out by Christmas will or won’t happen, and we’ll keep you informed. Sorry for the disappointment, but for once we’d like to release something when it’s ready, rather than when it’s due.
Peeseout,
Wilson
